Keith is a member of the Crewe Conservation Volunteers and first came to Grozone with TCV a number of years ago. Here he tells us more about their current project- creating a fruit cage around the solar panels.
"Today we’re putting small mesh netting on the walls to keep the birds out. Eventually we will put the same fine netting over the roof. We’re hoping to roll the netting fairly quickly around the sides and start to fasten it on. It’s quite a big job, so we might have to come back to that another week.
It will be a good fruit cage when it’s finished (containing) a variety of fruit: gooseberries, black currants, red currants and possibly some apples."
