Another enjoyable day with Pete. Lou and the two Sarah's worked together stripping off the bark from more posts, and, plain to hear, putting the World to rights. The rest of us worked with Pete first to mark out where the insets on the posts are needed to take the cross timbers that will support the floor of the Ramp. This entailed using a tape-measure, string , straight edges and levels to ensure the resulting slopes and position of landings will meet the specifications for wheel-chair users. We then finished the day sawing the horizontal cuts for the insets using a clever method Pete devised to ensure each cut was 1 " deep and exactly aligned to the ones on opposite posts. Next time there will be some careful chiseling needed. Seemingly not much to show for the day but progress it was, and our diligence will pay off in the future.

I am enjoying seeing the ramp take shape. The quality of work-man and woman-ship is excellent and as Ray suggests will ensure the longevity of the ramp.
